Where to Stay During Kumbh Mela 2027 in Trimbakeshwar
For the Simhastha Kumbh 2027, stay within walking distance of Kushavarta Kund and the temple, because private vehicles are planned to be stopped outside Trimbakeshwar town on the main Amrit Snan days. Our Bhakta Niwas is about 1.5 km from Kushavarta and 900 m from the temple, and guests' vehicles can come in. Book early by call or WhatsApp on +91 90311 67563.
The Kumbh period runs from 31 October 2026 to 24 July 2028, with the biggest crowds in August and September 2027. This guide explains how the Kumbh changes your stay plans, what to look for in a room, and how to book with us.
Why you should book early for the Kumbh
Our rooms fill up fast during festivals, and often on weekends too, and news reports say millions of pilgrims are expected at Nashik and Trimbakeshwar for the Kumbh. The three Amrit Snans fall on 2 August, 31 August and 12 September 2027, and Shravan 2027 runs from 3 to 31 August in the Amanta calendar.
So August 2027 has both the Shravan crowds and two Amrit Snans. If you plan to come then, message us as early as you can. See every date in our Kumbh 2027 dates and Amrit Snan schedule.
How snan-day rules affect your stay
The administration has shared its plans for the main Amrit Snan days. These are plans as of now; check official announcements before you travel.
- Private vehicles will not be allowed into Trimbakeshwar town.
- Vehicles will be parked outside town, for example at Anjaneri.
- Free shuttle buses run by the administration will bring pilgrims in.
- VIP darshan passes will be suspended.
If you stay outside town, you may have to depend on the shuttle buses on snan days. A stay inside town, within walking distance of Kushavarta Kund, lets you walk to the snan and back. Guests' vehicles can come to our Bhakta Niwas, and on snan days our free temple shuttle runs only between the Bhakta Niwas and the temple.
What to look for in a Kumbh stay
Before you book anywhere, ask these questions.
- How far is it from Kushavarta and the temple, on foot? On snan days you will walk.
- Can my vehicle come to the stay? On the main snan days, private vehicles are planned to be stopped outside town.
- Is check-in open late at night? After a long journey in Kumbh traffic, you may arrive at odd hours.
- Are meals included? On festival days, eateries near the temple are very crowded, so meals at your stay save time.
- Is it easy for elders? Look for ground-floor dining, wheelchair access and help from staff.
Our guide on where to stay in Trimbakeshwar covers the different kinds of stays in town in more detail.

Other options during the Kumbh
Trimbakeshwar is a small town, and at peak times there are far more visitors than its hotels and eateries can handle. The Kumbh Mela Authority is preparing rules for temporary private tent cities in Nashik district, to add accommodation for pilgrims, Punekar News reported on 29 September 2026. Nashik city is about 28 km from Trimbakeshwar, with buses every 15–30 minutes.
If you stay in Nashik, check the administration's traffic plans for the snan days before you travel. Our guide on why the Kumbh has two snan sites explains what happens in each town, and how to reach Trimbakeshwar has bus and road details.
